About

Hi. I’m glad you found me.
I’m Celia, a writer (of nearly anything and everything) based in New York City. I’m currently a senior writer for Brick Underground, where I cover Gotham’s insane housing market. If you have questions about commercial or residential real estate, I probably have answers.
You can also find my work in the New York Times, Commercial Observer, W42ST, Madame Architect, Madison Magazine, and the Milwaukee Business Journal, to name a few.
I’m based in New York City and hold a Bachelor’s in Politics from Brandeis University. (I’m sure one day I will use it). I have also worked in graphic design, social media management, photography, and book publishing.
I’ve had many odd jobs because journalism, as an industry, is in kind of a tough spot. If you’re interested in reading more about the business, check out my thesis on alternate funding models for local news, and subscribe to a local newspaper if you don’t already. I’m a proud WNYC/Gothamist supporter, but I would also recommend Hell Gate, The City, City Limits, and the myriad of other wonderful publications here in New York.
If you’re a fellow-journalist interested in commiserating, drop me a line. If you want to speak with me about a reporting project, do it! I dare you. I can be reached by phone or over email.
I sporadically post my work on X (Twitter). Feel free to follow me there as well.
